At the Congregational Church of Laconia our adult education program takes many different formats.
Adult Sunday School classes are held each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the Parish House.  These sessions follow the lectionary using the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum, and all are invited to come on a drop-in basis.
Regularly scheduled Bible discussions, a monthly book group, short-term topical conversations concerning important theological questions, and a host of other opportunities are offered.  Oftentimes these opportunities for learning are led by lay leaders or staff members who are interested in a particular topic.  Recently Associate Pastor Paula Gile led a thought-provoking series called "What Is the Bible?" that allowed participants to ask questions and explore what the importance of scripture.
In addition, adults are encouraged to take part in training events and programs offered at the state and national level.  Several members of our congregation have participated as delegates to the NH Conference, UCC's Annual Meeting as well as the General Synod meeting of the United Church of Christ.
Come join the conversation as we embrace all kinds of communities and new modes of thinking.
